The everyday routine
Work a pea-sized amount of texturizing cream through damp hair, then rough-dry with your fingers. That is the whole routine. The cut’s layers create the shape; product just defines it.
For extra texture
On dry hair, twist small sections with a dab of wax or paste. Focus on the crown and the pieces around the ears — those are the bixie’s signature.
Sleek days
Flat-iron the top smooth and tuck one side behind the ear. A smoother finish may take more time, depending on your natural texture and the tools you use.
Growing it out
Trim the nape every 6–8 weeks and let the top grow. A bixie can grow into a textured bob, though uneven stages may need occasional reshaping. Ask your stylist which areas to trim while keeping the length you want to grow. Find your texture in find your look.
